Nelson Udstuen is a seasoned healthcare advisor with more than two decades of dedicated experience guiding medical clients through complex real estate decisions. As President of Oxford Partners’ Healthcare Division, he leads the firm’s dedicated platform for representing healthcare tenants and buyers. He helps medical practices, specialty providers, and health systems achieve real estate outcomes that support both business performance and patient care.

Over the course of his career, Nelson has completed more than 1,000 transactions for healthcare businesses, working with hospital systems, physician groups, and specialty providers on some of the region’s most significant healthcare real estate deals. Prior to joining Oxford, he served as Senior Vice President at CBRE, where he became a trusted advisor to national and regional healthcare organizations. He chose Oxford for its independence and conflict-free model, ensuring his clients receive unbiased advocacy without landlord obligations or divided loyalties.

Nelson’s approach is built on the belief that real estate strategy has a direct impact on clinical outcomes. He helps clients secure spaces that improve patient access, streamline physician and staff workflows, support recruitment, and maintain compliance. His experience spans hospitals, physician groups, post-acute operators, and behavioral health providers, with clients including CommonSpirit Health, Tenet Health, Harris Health System, Texas Oncology, Quest Diagnostics, and Texas ENT Specialists.

In addition to client service, Nelson is focused on building Oxford’s Healthcare Division for the future. He is committed to mentoring brokers, fostering collaboration, and ensuring healthcare tenants receive unmatched support throughout the lease lifecycle.

Nelson holds a Master’s in Real Estate Development and a Bachelor’s in Landscape Architecture, both from Texas A&M University.
